Character

Kusatsu Onsen, one of the "Three Great Onsens of Japan," has seven sources (Yubatake-source, Shirahata-source, Nishi no Kawahara-source, Jizo-source, Nigawa-source, Atsunoyu-source, and Bandai-ko-source), and Hotel Quabio draws from the Bandai-ko-source. The spring is an acidic hypotonic high hot spring containing sodium, potassium, magnesium, and iron. The acidic nature of the spring is "typical of Kusatsu Onsen" and has a tangy feel on the skin. It also has a sterilizing and peeling effect, and is said to "cure anything except love sickness." The temperature of the spring water is high at around 90°C, but at Hotel Quavio, the temperature in the bath is kept at 42-43°C by adjusting the amount of hot spring water.
